Edit because I don't know if this could be why as well, but I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant if that makes a difference (never had issues coloring my hair before though while pregnant). color that rep- resents its similarity to one of a series of achromatic colors ranging from very dim to very bright. Any help on why this is happening is super appreciated. Is it just the more reddish colors with a burning sensation? Is this normal? I've been using ion for years and just recently (over the past 3ish years) it's been doing this, and I've had these exact colors on my hair before without the burn as well. My husband felt the same burn when he used ion for dark hair as well (in red). Why is it like this with developer and not without? I still have about 25 minutes to go but I don't know if I can physically take it that long. Like, it literally feels like I put icy hot on it. ![]() The one yesterday (lemon) I didn't have to mix with developer and it felt absolutely fine on my scalp, the one I'm using today (magenta) I had to mix with developer (20vol ion developer) and it is taking a toll on my scalp. I'm using ion color brilliance on my hair right now and used a different color ion yesterday. You must be an active member of the community and self-promotions are limited to once per month.
